تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن طبيعة التحول في الدور الوظيفي للاستخبارات، والوقوف على المحك الأساسي الذي يُستند إليه في تقييم نجاح عملها، فضلاً عن إمكانية نمذجة وصايا تيتلوك وغاردنر (Tetlock & Gardner, 2015) في التنبؤ الفائق عبر سيناريوهات واقعية وافتراضية؛ لتصميم برنامج تدريبي قد يُسهم في رفع كفاءة العاملين في أجهزة الاستخبارات مستقبلاً. وقد خلصت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن الدور الوظيفي للاستخبارات قد تطور وتجاوز الإطار التقليدي القائم على السرية وجمع المعلومات، ليتحول نحو العلنية الموجهة وصناعة التنبؤات القائمة على التقديرات الكمية والنسب الاحتمالية الدقيقة. كما أكدت النتائج أن محك نجاح العمل الاستخباراتي يكمن في القدرة على التنبؤ الفائق المرتكز على ترتيب الأولويات، وتجزئة المشكلات، وتعديل الافتراضات، والاعتماد الصارم على لغة الأرقام والاحتمالات، بعيداً عن التكهنات المبنية على التخمينات العشوائية. وأخيراً، بينت الدراسة إمكانية نمذجة وصايا تيتلوك وغاردنر (Tetlock & Gardner, 2015) في التنبؤ الفائق عبر سيناريوهات واقعية وافتراضية؛ لتصميم برنامج تدريبي قد يُسهم في رفع كفاءة العاملين في أجهزة الاستخبارات مستقبلاً.
