هناك عدد متزايد من الشركات الصغيرة التي تقوم بنقل أنظمتها المحاسبية إلى الأنظمة المحوسبة. هناك العديد من أنظمة برامج المحاسبة المتوفرة في السوق والتي تلبي مجموعة واسعة من الاحتياجات وحجم الشركة والصناعات. لا تستطيع الشركات الصغيرة ببساطة اختيار البرنامج المناسب الذي يناسب احتياجاتها بسبب نقص الكوادر ذات الخبرة. تناولت الأبحاث السابقة عملية اختيار نظام برمجي أو تقديم نموذج لاختيار البرمجيات للمؤسسات الكبيرة. في هذه الدراسة، قمنا باستعراض أهم الدراسات السابقة في مجال الدراسة مع التركيز على أهم العوامل المؤثرة في عملية التقييم. وقد تم مراعاة صلاحية هذه العوامل للشركات الصغيرة التي تفتقر إلى الكوادر التقنية التي يمكن أن تساعدها في القيام بهذه المهمة.
